Chief Executive Officer

Rodney L. Gray

Mr. Gray brings more than 40 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Gray served on the Audit and Conflicts Committees of the Boards of Directors of Regency Partners L.P. and Rose Rock Midstream Partners L.P.  Mr. Gray served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Cobalt International Energy, Inc., from June 2009 until June 2010. From 2003 to April 2009, Mr. Gray served as Chief Financial Officer of Colonial Pipeline, an interstate carrier of petroleum products. From 1988 to 1999, Mr. Gray was with Enron Corporation and Enron International where he held several executive level positions, most recent was Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Azurix, a publicly traded company formed by Enron. Mr. Gray was with Transco Energy Company from 1975 to 1988 where he served as Vice President and Treasurer.  Mr. Gray received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from Rock Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

Chief Operating Officer

Richard Pratt

Mr. Pratt’s 37-year career in the oil and gas industry includes technical and leadership responsibilities in offshore, onshore, and international oil and gas operations and development. From 1982 to 2004, his responsibilities at Anadarko Petroleum Company included engineering and operations in the Gulf of Mexico region, the Mid-continent, and the Permian Basin.  Subsequently, he managed Anadarko’s Algerian assets as their Engineering Operations Manager before returning to the U.S. as Anadarko’s Manager of Gulf of Mexico Operations and Development. From 2004-2012, Mr. Pratt served as Hess Corporation’s Vice-President of their Indonesian Ujung Pangkah Project before being promoted to Vice-President of Global Pre-Developments in Houston. Most recently, Mr. Pratt has directed Husky Energy’s Atlantic Region developments as their Vice President of Developments. He brings broad operational and technical experience, having managed large diversified organizations, and a myriad of experience in coordinating major project teams. Mr. Pratt holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, and is a member of the National Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Chief Financial Officer

Jason Hoerler

Mr. Hoerler has 15+ years of experience in public accounting and the energy industry. Most recently, he spent the last 7 years at Gunnison Energy LLC as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis where he was responsible for the budget, cash forecasting and financial modeling process.  In additional to the FP&A responsibilities, he was responsible for the marketing, insurance and general business functions of the company.  Prior to GELLC, Mr. Hoerler spent time with DCP Midstream as Treasury Manager where he was responsible for servicing outstanding debt, corporate cash forecasting and debt modeling. Before joining DCP Midstream, he worked for Ernst & Young, LLP as an external and internal audit consultant.  Mr. Hoerler earned a M.S. Accounting degree from the University of Virginia and earned a B.S. in Finance and Business from Brigham Young University.

Controller

Troy Keese

Mr. Keese has 12+ years of experience in accounting, and the energy industry. He spent the 9 months, prior to Inflection Energy, contracting at Condor Petroleum, Inc, a Bakken Operator, as Controller where he managed the accounting department and was responsible for the financial reporting, day to day operations, and annual reporting/tax work. Proceeding Condor, he spent over three years at Formation Energy, LP, a Bakken Non-Op private equity company, as Assistant Controller, where he was responsible for oversight of the revenue process, technical accounting, management of the monthly close process, and responsible for the annual audit. Before joining Formation Energy, Mr. Keese spent 3 years as a Financial Accountant at Amadeus Petroleum, an Australian publicly listed company, with Operated oil assets in the Permian basin, and Kansas shelf.  Mr. Keese began his career at Hein & Associates, LLP as an audit associate for 5 years, primarily focusing on energy industry clientele, both public and private.  Mr. Keese holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Northern Colorado, and is active as a licensed CPA, in the state of Colorado.

Reservoir Engineer

Zachary Swanson

Mr. Swanson brings over a decade of experience in the petroleum industry, with broad knowledge in both reservoir and operations engineering, including substantial experience in unconventional reservoirs, working both the Bakken and Anadarko basins.  Most recently, he worked for Courson Oil and Gas as a Petroleum Engineer in the Texas Panhandle, where he was responsible for all reservoir engineering duties, as well as operations engineering for a field of over 700 wells that included over 150 horizontal wells. Prior to that, he worked as a Reservoir/Operations Engineer with American Eagle Energy Corp., where his responsibilities included public reserve reporting obligations. In addition to his petroleum engineering experience, he has experience working for a midstream engineering firm, Rooney Engineering Corp as a project engineer/project manager. Mr. Swanson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a member of the National Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Director of Land

Marci Cyone

Mrs. Cyone has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  She began her oil and gas career at the land service company of Precision Oil & Gas, Inc., where she held a variety of positions where her responsibilities included title abstracting, title review, lease acquisition, right-of-way acquisition, curative, and project management on projects located in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.  Mrs. Cyone spent 3 years with Precision Oil & Gas, Inc., before she accepted a Project Manager position with G&P Land where her responsibilities included managing multiple projects in several different counties concurrently as well as securing new business contracts with new clients.  After spending 3 years with G&P Land, Mrs. Cyone accepted a position with a natural gas midstream company, PVR Partners, now known as Energy Transfer Partners, in the Right Of Way Acquisition Department.  Mrs. Cyone joined the Inflection Energy team in May of 2014 as Title Manager in the Land Department.  Mrs. Cyone holds memberships with the American Association of Professional Landmen, along with the MLBC Chapter of the AAPL, as well as memberships with the International Right of Way Association and the Northern Appalachian Landman’s Association.

General Counsel

Courtney M. Ahuja

Ms. Ahuja has 10 years of experience practicing oil & gas law at national and boutique law firms. Her areas of expertise include upstream oil & gas operations, complex title and property rights, and corporate governance. Prior to joining Inflection Energy LLC, Ms. Ahuja spent 2 years as Counsel and Land Manager at Gunnison Energy LLC where her responsibilities included general legal and business matters, regulatory compliance, and management of Gunnison Energy’s rights pertaining to federal, state, and fee lands. Ms. Ahuja earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
